Making hand sanitizer is much easier than it may seem. To make sure this recipe really works, our family made 2/2 successful batches.
What you will need:
- 3/4 cup of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol (99 percent)
- 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel (to help keep your hands smooth and to counteract the harshness of alcohol)
- OPTIONAL: 10 drops of essential oil, such as lavender oil, or you can use lemon juice instead
First, dump 3/4 cup of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol (99 percent) and 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel, and optionally, dump 10 drops of essential oil, or lemon juice. Beat with a whisk until you see bubbles, and the solution becomes hand sanitizer looking.
